SO WHAT if everything seems to be changing for our family. It's life and that's what happens, things constantly change!
If you know me, you know that I am constantly evaluating, learning, and trying to change things up so that they are more efficient, cost-effective, easier, or makes more sense. This week's big change was put into effect this morning. We're back to using cloth diapers!
I feel so spoiled using disposables for the past 6 months, but to be honest, we got a ton from Phil's dad and it was so much easier while we were living there to use disposables. My in-laws weren't too keen on changing a cloth diaper, although my mother-in-law will, it's just so much easier since they don't have to relearn anything...yet! I'm sure that will change today when we see her!
Admittedly, using cloth diapers was something I once loved, but now makes me nervous. We have a front-loading HE washing machine and I know that can present challenges with washing diapers, but that it can be done! My husband really wanted the front-loaders and so did I for all of the money saving (plus they look pretty cool!). I'm also a little nervous about this changing our schedule and being out. Disposables are easier while out and I'm sure I'll keep them in the bag for the church workers at least.
One thing is for sure that I love how colorful and fun cloth diapers look! They may make his bum a little bigger in pants (ok, a lot bigger), but they are more cost-effective and so cute!

So What Wednesday
This week, I'm saying SO WHAT if...

- After months of pain and discomfort, I'm planning on going back to my old chiropractor. The new one wasn't working as well and kept telling me I would be out of pain when the baby comes out.
- We'll be paying a lot more for the chiropractic care. If it works, it's worth it.
- I only interviewed with one pediatrician's office before I made my decision. I feel so comfortable with them and didn't want to take him to our current doctor.
- I don't mind not sleeping due to the baby moving. I know he's safe and love feeling him move.
- I had a nesting moment yesterday when I realized we don't have a lot of baby socks. It took a lot for me not to run out and buy a ton!
- I can't wait for my baby shower next weekend mainly for the cupcakes! I'll let myself eat one and will enjoy every bite.
- I've loved being busier lately. It makes the days go by faster

So What Wednesdays

- I'm struggling through this allergy season. My stuffy nose keeps me from sleeping well and I'm over it.
- I can't wait to be in California in a couple of weeks. I miss my mom way too much!
- The news about the FAA furlough makes me mad. People are complaining that their flights shouldn't be delayed because of the furlough cutting the workforce for traffic control. Apparently the people who work behind the scenes can be furloughed just not the people that affect you.
- I see the silver lining with the furlough. My husband has off one day every other week. Not thrilled that he doesn't get paid, but it's more time with him.
- I can't wait to eat at In-N-Out and will be doing so for the first meal off the plane.
- I can no longer breathe well and get exhausted when I walk. The doctor said the baby is up high now!
- I'm already looking forward to my shower!

So What Wednesdays

This week, I'm saying So What if...
- I am obsessed with watching "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" and "Extreme Couponing." Oh and I totally miss couponing.
- We're not decorating a nursery for the baby. We live with my in-laws and it might be for quite a while so until we have the space, we're making due.
- I see cute cloth diapers and want to buy them. Of course, I only do if it's a great deal, but I'm really wanting to complete my stash.
- I freaked out yesterday when I didn't feel the baby move after the glucose drink. I mean, I don't feel him move daily yet so it's not a problem, but I really thought he would have been more active after all that glucose. I felt him later that day so that made me feel better.
- Most days I lounge around unless I need to get out of the house for something. I don't have a lot to do since we're living with his parents.
- I still haven't sewn much for the show next weekend. Oh well, I'll go with what I have done and not have too much left over!
- I'm focusing on making boy things in case we don't sell much. Then, I can use what I've made without having a ton of things in storage.
- I still can't handle cooked green vegetables. It's a texture issue.

So What Wednesdays

- I said I wasn't going to AWANA tonight, but I probably will be. I was super sick yesterday and feel fine today, but I'm worried about the stress.
- I haven't sewn the things I volunteered to do for the church Easter play and they're due tonight. I was set up to do it yesterday, but that was a no-go.
- My doctor yesterday didn't bring up me being on pelvic rest so I asked if we could resume normal activities. I may or may not have told him that my husband is a patient man, but I am less impatient!
- I still haven't started sewing for my craft show in two weeks. It's going to be a long, exhausting two weeks I guess.
- I can't wait until our pack and play get here! Gram ordered it for us since she loves the quilt I made her so much.

| Walmart.com |
- We're probably not getting a house before the baby gets here. We're saving quickly, but there's no way to come up with what we need left overnight. At least my in-laws are being super great and supportive!
- I think I got sick because of all of the crap food I had eaten on Monday. It was a hodge podge of everything and it didn't seem to settle well.

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying SO WHAT if...
- We know the sex of the baby and want to keep it off facebook for a little while. I'll be posting a blog soon.
- I haven't been sewing a lot and really need to. I have a show coming up in only three weeks!
- I only want to sew for our baby and not the show. There, I said it. I'm just really want to look at cute things and make some fun stuff.
- It's my birthday and for once I don't feel the need to shout it from the roof-top. Sure, it's great, but it just feels like another day this year.
- I still have 5-ish months to go until we meet our baby and that seems like so long. Seriously, we both feel like it's already been so long and there's 23.5 weeks left!
- I'm only 16 weeks and I am super round. At least there's a reason and I'm happy to be looking pregnant!

So What Wednesdays

This week, I'm saying SO WHAT if...
- When the doctor told me that I had to be on pelvic rest for the next two weeks I was not thrilled. *Pelvic rest is total abstinence to not irritate the cervix and cause more spotting*
- We got the ultrasound pictures from the hospital and tried to see if we could find out the sex of the baby. No dice.
- Tomorrow is my night to make dinner and we bought baked potato cheddar soup from Bob Evans to reheat.
- My birthday is next week and the only present I asked for was for my mom to pay for the early gender scan.
- Since I'm only allowed to take it easy, I've been sitting/lying around watching movies and shows all day.
- I love watching the Duggars. I think they're great and set a good example. They seem to do well with their businesses, take care of their family, and their kids aren't hooligans.
- I can't decide on which detergent to use with cloth diapering. I don't want something super expensive...any suggestions?

So What Wednesdays
This week, I'm saying SO WHAT if...
- It's snowing like crazy right now and I couldn't be happier!
- The government closed due to inclement weather which means my husband is home for the day!
- I'm happy that the storm actually is playing out so that my husband won't be upset that we didn't get a good snow this year.
- Our snow day tradition is cinnamon rolls for breakfast.
- My birthday is in two weeks and the only thing I asked for is to find out what the baby is early. I didn't want to wait another month.
- I can't wait to start sewing for this baby. I have so many cute fabrics, but not many are gender neutral.
- I went to the doctor for my cough yesterday knowing the only thing they would do is give me an antibiotic. I'm still sick and have a history of it turning into bronchitis.
- I'm SO happy that AWANA is cancelled tonight! I need a break with being so tired by the end of the day and with being sick, it is harder.
- I'm happy to be a stay-at-home wife again. It didn't last long, but I'm meant to be at home and that's where I'm most happy.

So What Wednesdays

This week, I'm saying So What if...
- Not everyone had kind things to say about our announcement yesterday. It won't take away from our joy!
- I couldn't be happier that today is the last day of my job! I'm ready to stay at home and not be working retail.
- I think the cost of maternity clothes is ridiculous and hard to find! I'm only going to wear them for a short time so I don't want to spend a fortune on them.
- I haven't sewn in weeks! My next show isn't until April so I'm taking a break in the meantime.
- I really want to buy something for the baby, but without knowing the gender, it's really hard.
- Some days I still need a nap. I have more energy overall to do things, but I still get tuckered out quickly.
- Phil and I like to tell people this is our "miracle baby" and know that it wouldn't have happened without God.

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying SO WHAT if...
- We purchased a stroller this week and paid a total of $10! It was originally $199 and on Target clearance for $50. I had a $40 gift card from the video monitor we bought so bam!
![]() | ||||||||||||||
| Target.com |
- I'm considering going to a gender ultrasound place at 16 weeks for my birthday next month. Our OB doesn't do the anatomy u/s until 20 weeks and I would have to wait until the middle of April. Not sure if I will want to wait.
- I ordered the Snoogle pillow today after talking to my chiropractor. My hip has been hurting when I sleep and it's so hard to find a comfortable position. Plus, we got it for free by using a Christmas gift card and a Target gift card from Swagbucks!
- I seriously cry whenever I find out that someone who has been trying for a baby for a while is pregnant. It touches me and I can totally relate.
- I believe in the power of prayer so much that I honestly pray for everyone that I know or follow via twitter or blogging who is pregnant every day. And now, my husband does too! Prayer works and I want everyone's babies to be surrounded in prayer!

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying SO WHAT if...
- Most nights I opt out of the regularly scheduled dinner. I eat, but the food aversions do not have casseroles or red sauce as part of the plan.
- I was a little annoyed that my RE who put me on Metformin and had no problem telling me how long he wanted me on it during my pregnancy before I got pregnant would not remind me what that information was. Now, my OB might have to send me to a high risk doctor just to get an answer since he's not comfortable with making that decision.
- I'm already dreading the next four workdays. I agreed to 10-12 hours per week total (so about 2 days per week) and I'll be working 24 hours this week alone. Oh well, at least I'll like the paycheck!
- Watermelon is my new favorite food. So happy I finally want something healthy!
- I bought something for the baby. Target was having a great sale so I ordered the video monitor we wanted, got 5% off, free shipping, and a $40 Target gift card! My husband said we shouldn't pass it up so we didn't.
- I'm counting down to my sister's graduation in May and praying that I look pregnant. Starting off as a heavy girl means there's no guarantee!

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying SO WHAT if...
- We didn't listen to the first doctor and we have a VIABLE pregnancy! Praise the Lord for his miracles!
- I'm not thrilled with this headache that I had all day yesterday. I really don't want to take Tylenol unless it's necessary since it rarely works.
- I'm considering getting a snoogle pillow sooner rather than later. I have a hard time getting comfortable and wake up 3-5 times per night.
- I didn't want to tell my brother-in-law about the baby yet. He has a tendency to say whatever he thinks and I was preparing for the worst.
- We ended up telling him since my mother-in-law asked us to now that we've seen the heartbeat. It was way better than expected!
- I get super moody so I stay in my bedroom. Only Phil gets to experience the crankiness.
- I love being pregnant! I'm feeling pretty well other than normal things and have little to complain about.
- If we still don't have a due date! We should find out Monday.

So What Wednesday

- We're keeping my in-laws in the dark with my fertility appointments. I've tried to open up and I'm told that I should "wait until you've been trying a year" no matter what. Yep, even after I mentioned that I have PCOS and the doctor doesn't think I ovulate at all. No ovulation = 0% chance of pregnancy.
- I was actually excited for my HSG. I figured that there was no guarantee of pain or something bad and it gets me that much closer to getting to know what our options are!
- I come across as super put-together and organized at church when my apartment is a hot mess. Hey, it's a work in progress.
- I got dressed to go to the gym and I decided to sew and take a nap instead. My allergies make me super sleepy and my allergy meds are no longer working.
- I want to like yoga a lot, but I don't. It's ok, but I find it super difficult for me. I do it because it's good for me, but when the yoga teacher says things like, "The universe and animals know when you're at peace because they sense it and will do something to disrupt your inner peace", I can't handle that.

So What Wednesday

Due to my new schedule {adding in the dr and meeting with someone for AWANA}I have not yet gone to the gym this week. But, I am signed up for yoga today at 9:30am so I'll be there.
I'm not upset about finding out that I have PCOS. I mean, it's been suspected and they have things that can help. I'm trusting God and feel at peace. I didn't make dinner until after my husband got home last night. I really try to have it ready for him when he gets here, but that was not happening. I think that maybe I am "that girl" that annoys my nurse/doctor. I like to look things up ahead of time and research what they may have me do so that I'm not shocked when they tell me what tests they're going to run. I forgot to charge my iPhone last night and it was dead this morning. It wasn't plugged in the dock right and I'm glad I woke up in time.
I spilled a little ink on the floor refilling our printer cartridges. It's expensive to buy new ones so I bought a refill kit to save money!

So What Wednesday

I weigh myself on the regular {like almost daily} just to see how it fluctuates, but I only update my weight weekly. I had my husband and friends rearrange our furniture in the living room last night. I like change in the house and he always said no because the tv was too heavy {over 100 lbs.}. Since we were getting rid of the tv, I opted for a new living room set up!

I'm happy to be home from vacation. A week with your in-laws {or almost anyone} in a travel trailer can be fun, but a little much at the same time. I'm thinking that today will be a rest day. I'm tired and did a lot at the gym and rearranging yesterday so I'm beat! I have no idea what we're going to do for dinner again tonight. Leftovers, anyone? I really love watching the Insanity infomercials and can't wait to do it when I weigh less and my knee and back are less sore.

So What Wednesday
This week I'm saying So What if...
- I get really upset when we are out of our routine for a few days. I like knowing what to expect and being gone and coming back home makes that difficult.
- I set the calorie range on MFP to lose 1 pound a week so that the calorie limit is higher {even though I want to lose more than 1 pound a week}. I stay under the lower ones, but I don't like the stress involved when I get to close to the limit.
- I'm really excited about our trip to Boston/Connecticut with my husband and his parents. I'm also really nervous about it. Seven days in a travel-trailer all together {and not much privacy} is a long time. Good thing I love them!
- I haven't put away clean laundry in a couple of weeks. It's clean, just not in the closet or dressers.
- I always forget to take "before" pictures for the blog. Whether it comes to weight loss, organizing, cooking, how-to's...it just doesn't happen.

So What Wednesday
This week, I'm saying So What if...
- I called my mother-in-law late last night to see if she wants to go to the gym with me today. She's coming over to go to the chiropractor and it makes me happy to have her see how hard I work and what I do in the gym.
- I dropped my gym towel 15 minutes into my 60 minute workout and did not stop to get it. I was a hot, sweaty mess and was so thankful when a man picked it up for me 30 minutes after I dropped it.
- All I think about lately is going to the gym, what I'm going to eat, and sewing an order for a friend.
- I wrote an email to the property manager when they closed the pool 15 minutes early yesterday. The lifeguard went around telling everyone that the pool was closing and to get out with no warning or explanation. And, he was throwing tennis balls at people while they were swimming.
- I spent most of my afternoon yesterday watching Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition on the internet. It inspires me and I love to see the transformations.
- I want to encourage and inspire others to work out and eat right. If I can do it, just about anyone can!
- I still need to write the follow-up posts for my Tyra Banks show episodes. I'm thinking I'll get the next one done this week and post it Monday.

So What Wednesdays
This week I'm saying So What if...
- I ate dessert for breakfast yesterday. I wasn't hungry enough to eat a meal and it was amazing.
- We had a hodge podge for dinner yesterday. Bean and cheese burritos and chili cheese fries hit the spot.
- I only feel like an adult when we're doing adult things like going to Home Depot or dressing up for events.
- I reminded my husband not to turn on the tv until he was ready for bed. We're on a tv diet and he really needs to get more sleep. Going to bed at 11pm and waking up at 3:50am is not the best idea.
- I finished another book and am considering buying a Nook or Kindle. My husband will insist I go the the library because it's free.
- I finished my in-laws quilt top in a weekend, but I've been slacking on adding the borders. It's a Christmas present, so I have time!
- I refuse to swim in the community pool when there are tons of people there. I don't like splashing and I like to be able to move in the water without hitting someone.

So What Wednesdays
This week I'm saying So What if...
- I've called the doctor multiple times this week to see if I can get an appointment for this week. Hey, it worked...I have one this afternoon!
- To keep secrets between my husband and myself and to only tell close friends. Family tends to overreact and want to give their two cents and we want to make some decisions for ourselves.
- I have no clue what we're having for dinner tonight. I always end up making something and it turns out well, so no big deal.
- I haven't exercised in quite a while. My body hates me and it seriously takes weeks for it to get used to exercising. Plus, every time I've tried, I get really sick with allergies and my asthma acts up.
- I've had to rearrange so many appointments this week. My husband can only take so many half days off work to make it and since I'm the one who is in charge of setting up appointments, I have to change them sometimes.
- I don't want to work. There, I said it. I like staying at home and plan to do so until we need me to go back or I really want to work. Truth be told, I'm hoping that this will turn into me being a stay-at-home mom.

This week I'm saying So What if...
- My husband has been doing all of the housework. I have a show coming up and I don't have the inventory yet to not be sewing for two weeks before each show.
- I need a little space from family sometimes. Yes, they are super helpful and awesome, but sometimes they can be a little too helpful.
- I'm afraid to eat pizza since I stopped eating fast food almost two months ago. Last time I didn't eat if for three weeks I got really sick and I'm not up for that again.
- I'm at the fabric store 2-3 times a week now. They keep having good sales and I run out of things I need.
- I haven't been eating breakfast, lunch, or dinner until it's super late. I've been so busy and don't realize what time it is until I take a break.
